Chair's Day and inaugural course of Prof. Liserre

Jun 16, 2014

On Monday, June 16th, the Chair for Power Electronics will present itself in the course of a “Chair’s Day”. Following the information lecture for Bachelor’s students which is held by Prof. Liserre during the course “Elektrische Energietechnik” the students are welcome to join a barbecue starting approx. at 12 p.m. Within this relaxed atmosphere the Chair as well as invited guests from industry will introduce themselves.
At approx. 2 p.m. students and guests are welcome to join a guided laboratory tour. Afterwards, Prof. Liserre will give his inaugural lecture in the course of the colloquium of the Faculty of Engineering.

Research

  • Our research is focused on the design of high efficient and reliable PWM-based power converter architectures (single-cell, multi-cell, multilevel), their modelling and control to exploit commercial as well as new power semiconductor devices with minimum over design.
We develop controllers for electric drives and we are particularly skilled in the integration of renewable energy systems into the electric grid.
