IECON 2019 Keynote speech in Lisbon Portugal

Oct 25, 2019

Prof. Marco Liserre of the chair of Power Electronics made a keynote speech in IECON 2019 which is one of the most important Conference on power electronics. The main topic of his speech was the smart transformer technology. He presented issues and concepts about providing the service to the electric network and addressing the reliability challenges through power routing.

  • Our research is focused on the design of high efficient and reliable PWM-based power converter architectures (single-cell, multi-cell, multilevel), their modelling and control to exploit commercial as well as new power semiconductor devices with minimum over design.
We develop controllers for electric drives and we are particularly skilled in the integration of renewable energy systems into the electric grid.
