Modern methods of control open up advanced possibilities to control mains pulsed current converter with line sided LCL-filter and with small link capacity as well as to control drive systems with unknown oscillatory loads. read more These applications make high demands on the control concerning dynamic, stability and vibration damping. Modern methods of control promise mainly advantages compared with conventional methods in these areas. The methods are analyzed theoretical, with simulations and experimental at different laboratory buildings and are compared with the conventional methods.



  • Our research is focused on the design of high efficient and reliable PWM-based power converter architectures (single-cell, multi-cell, multilevel), their modelling and control to exploit commercial as well as new power semiconductor devices with minimum over design.
    We develop controllers for electric drives and we are particularly skilled in the integration of renewable energy systems into the electric grid.
