Chair of Power Electronics

Fei Jiang (S'15-M'16) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical and information engineering from Changsha University of Science and Technology, Changsha, China, in 2007 and 2012, respectively, and received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Hunan University, Changsha, China, in 2016. From 2007 to 2009, he was an Assistant Electrical Engineer at Northwest China Grid Co. Ltd., Xi’an, China. Since 2016, he has been with the school of Electronics & Information Engineering, Changsha University of Science and Technology. His research interests include power electronics converter, distributed generation and power quality.

  • Our research is focused on the design of high efficient and reliable PWM-based power converter architectures (single-cell, multi-cell, multilevel), their modelling and control to exploit commercial as well as new power semiconductor devices with minimum over design.
We develop controllers for electric drives and we are particularly skilled in the integration of renewable energy systems into the electric grid.
