Biography

Sante Pugliese received the M.Sc. degree in Automation Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the Politecnico di Bari, Italy, in 2013 and 2108 respectively. In 2017, ha was a visit scholar with the Chair of Power Electronics, Kiel, Germany where he is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher. His research interests include power converters and control techniques for distributed power generation systems based on renewable energies.

 

 

Research

  • Our research is focused on the design of high efficient and reliable PWM-based power converter architectures (single-cell, multi-cell, multilevel), their modelling and control to exploit commercial as well as new power semiconductor devices with minimum over design.
    We develop controllers for electric drives and we are particularly skilled in the integration of renewable energy systems into the electric grid.
